NETWORK TECH -TIER II, LAN/WAN (CA) to Serve the Telecommunications Industry Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly Clearance Required
Job Innova Solutions is currently seeking a NETWORK TECH - TIER II with an Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly Clearance to serve a trusted provider of secure, IP enabled, cloud-based, network solutions and professional services to the Federal Government. Our client's National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video, and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations. Position type: Full-time W2 (No C2C - No VISA sponsorship candidates)
Duration: 12 months with likely extension
Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, CA
Pay Range: $70-76/hour including PTO KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.

• Respond to and resolve incident tickets

• Draft and implement standard network change requests

• Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), and coordinate and install new equipment)

• Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory

• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.

• Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Port Security, and Thin Configurations) QUALIFICATIONS:

• ACTIVE TS SCI CI Poly

• Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals

• Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts

• Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes

• Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (CAT5, Single Mode (SM)/Multimode (MM) Fiber, Serial cables, Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP)

• Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models

• Knowledge of Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Juniper JUNOS, and the Brocade and Foundry Operating System (OS)

• Familiarity (doesn't need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Language Server Protocol (LSP), and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence

• Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products

• Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to:
Doctorate and 8 years' experience,
OR master's degree and 10 years, OR bachelor's degree and 12 years,
OR associate degree and 14 years, OR HS diploma and 16 years

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: $70-76/hour including PTO, W2 Only. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
