TIER II NETWORK TECHNICIAN to Serve the Telecommunications Industry Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly Clearance Required
Job Innova Solutions is currently seeking a Tier II Network Technician with an Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly Clearance to serve an American multinational telecommunications holding company. Position type: Full-time W2 (No C2C - No VISA sponsorship candidates)
Duration: 6 months with likely extension
Location: Onsite in El Segundo, CA Pay Range: $55-65/hour including PTO KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the installation and maintenance of the client's LAN/WAN devices.

• Respond to and resolve incident tickets.

• Draft and implement standard network change requests.

• Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), and coordinate and install new equipment)

• Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory.

• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.

• Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Port Security, and Thin Configurations) QUALIFICATIONS:

• TS SCI CI Poly

• Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to: - Doctorate and 3 years of experience - OR, master's and 4 years - OR, bachelor's and 6 years - OR, associate's and 8 years - OR, high school and 10+ years.
• Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

• Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals

• Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts

• Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes

• Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (CAT5, Single Mode (SM)/Multimode (MM) Fiber, Serial cables, Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP)

• Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models

• Knowledge of Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Juniper JUNOS, and the Brocade and Foundry Operating System (OS)

• Familiarity (doesn't need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Language Server Protocol (LSP), and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence
