Are you ready to take your career to new heights? We are looking for a seasoned A&P Mechanic with a passion for aviation and a keen eye for detail. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the scientific industry, helping to maintain and repair aircraft for a variety of research and development projects. As a Permanent A&P Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our aircraft operations. This position requires a high level of expertise in aircraft maintenance, a strong understanding of aircraft systems, and a commitment to following strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
As an A&P Mechanic, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Performing routine and non-routine maintenance on various types of aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
2. Troubleshooting complex aircraft systems and components, identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions.
3. Working with turbine engines, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks.
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards, including FAA regulations and company policies.
5. Collaborating closely with other team members, including pilots, engineers, and other mechanics, to ensure smooth and efficient aircraft operations.
6. Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and any issues encountered.
7. Continuously updating and expanding your knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures, staying abreast of the latest industry developments.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have:

1. A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an A&P Mechanic, preferably in the scientific or research sector.
3. Extensive experience with aircraft maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
4. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including turbine engines.
5. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex aircraft systems and components, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
6. Strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of FAA regulations and other relevant safety and regulatory standards.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of pilots, engineers, and other mechanics.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
9. Willingness to continuously update and expand your knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
10. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
11. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in aviation maintenance or a related field is preferred but not required.
