SMV Recruiting has an immediate opening for experienced Process Technicians in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone for the injection molding team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience working with injection molding machines on a manufacturing plant floor with automation. Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot automated and injection molding equipment
- Adjust machine parameters to achieve optimal output and quality
- Write recipe/formula for plastic end products (hold times, plasticizers, parts, etc.)
- Repair equipment
- Perform quality control checks
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to address machine malfunctions
- Perform preventative maintenance on injection molding machines
- Assist as needed with mold changes, set-ups, tooling problems and work process
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
- 2+ years of injection molding experience
- 2+ years of hard automation/highly customized machines (grippers, air cylinders, slides) strongly desired
- Be familiar with plastic defects (blush, short shots, etc.)
- Experience writing requirements from scratch
- Forklift certification
- Must have a very high mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of PLC equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment using a multimeter
- Software experience with ASI System and NCR database
- Able to stand the majority of the work day, perform repetitive job functions and manual dexterity and lift 50lbs
