Opportunity
As a member of our Operations team, the successful candidate will communicate with clients, efficiently dispatch assignments to our fleet, support professional driver coworkers, and monitor shipments in transit. Ensure adherence to strict quality, safety, and security protocols for each shipment. This is a salaried exempt position scheduled Monday through Friday for the second shift, usually from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; however, specific hours may vary based on business requirements.


Responsibilities:

Accept and process customer requirements, providing accurate documentation for customer review.

Schedule and dispatch professional teams.

Communicate and coordinate shipments with customers, ensuring follow-up requirements are met.

Guide professional drivers through customer procedures at both shipper enroute and receiver facilities.

Make delivery appointments verbally or through web-based platforms.

Address scheduling questions as needed.

Coordinate Canadian shipments inbound/outbound, collaborating with shippers, customs brokers, and teams for smooth entry.

Schedule and coordinate professional drivers' time-off requests.

Maintain teams' over-the-road and available workdays throughout the year.

Respond to quote requests either by pulling from customer-specific contract or utilizing the quote engine to make a recommendation to shift leader.

Coordinate with Maintenance Department to address repairs and schedule preventative maintenance.

Be present during designated hours to manage business need and address the following in a timely manner:

Telephone and electronic communications.

Alert Board

Emergency situations

May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent military and/or transportation experience in a supervisory role.

Eligible for US government security clearance (US Citizenship Required)

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office

Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Awareness of corporate culture and public image

Ability to collaborate across departments

Strong decision-making in fast-paced environments

Superior time management and attention to detail

Effective communication with colleagues and customers

Proficient in multitasking


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time.
  • Constant operation of a computer and/or other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine or computer printer.
