Second Shift: 3:00 pm 1:00 amPURPOSE:To repair, maintain and change over food packaging lines. To complete minor building maintenance and blending area equipment repair.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Communicates directly with the Plant Engineer to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
- Set priorities through the plant engineer for food packaging equipment rebuilds and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinates with the lead mechanic and coordinator to proactively schedule planned maintenance downtime.
- Provide feedback to the Plant engineer.
- Work complete monthly PM's correctly and completely.
- Participate in the maintenance training.
- Utilize E-Maint to verify PM compliance, assign PM, and close out work orders.
- Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input/output board, controllers, gears, sprockets, chains, knives, etc.) using test equipment and meters such as VOM, megger, amp probe, and PC.
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health standards and requirements.
- Abide by pant GMPs and Safety Regulations.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Vocational school a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:- Industrial/ Manufacturing Experience.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb balance; and regularly lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and an understanding of how machinery works.
- Ability to multitask and work according to deadlines.
- Handle confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.
- Knowledge of and ability to use electrical meters and welding equipment.
- Prior experience in industrial mechanics or maintenance operations - preferred.
- Proficient knowledge required in the use of tablets.
- Maintenance tracking software is a plus.
- Efficiency tracking software is a plus.
- E-Maint Boot Camp is a plus.
- 90% of the day spent standing and walking.
