Opsource has partnered with a growing Metal Fabricating Company in (Easley, SC) who is seeking a talented, experienced Weld Supervisor for their growing business.

PAY RANGE: $25-30.00
SCHEDULE: 6AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday OT as needed.

Primary Purpose:
Is capable of performing a variety of welding functions and supervising a team of line leaders and production welders. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment and managing, engaging, and training others. In addition, the Weld Supervisor is a valuable member of the production staff, providing support to the Production Manager, recommending personnel requirements, safety enhancements, and quality and efficiency improvements. Responsible for reporting accurate information for all processes. Fast paced, problem solving, ability to follow ISO processes.

Duties:
  • Must be ok with working on the lines.
  • Ensure safety of team, co-workers, line, and equipment.
  • Generate opportunities for better safety, efficiency, and quality of product.
  • Train production team and provide support to weld line leaders and other supervisors.
  • Keep lines properly stocked and evaluate manpower needs.
  • Works with other floor supervisors and other line leaders to meet daily production requirements.
  • Clear communication to members of team, other lines, and weld supervisor on matters of safety, personnel requirements, equipment maintenance, and production.
  • Cleanliness and organization of assigned area, and assistance with same in other areas in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Daily reports to production manager as required.
  • Responsible for line setup prior to shift start and verifying production fixtures.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding time-based production rates daily.
  • Reporting and metrics are required, including 5S.
  • Ability to perform simple shop math.
  • Ability to read a calibrated tape measure.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills to motivate and direct team members.
  • always exercise sound judgement, with an emphasis on a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Forklift certificate or ability to receive forklift certificate.
  • Must be able to identify and measure material.
  • Self-directed but with the ability to take and carry out management directives. Strong organizational skills.

Experience:
  • 1 year(s) required in Supervisory.
  • 3 year(s) preferred in Welding.
