1st Shift Press Operator

Grand Haven Company is seeking a skilled and reliable Press Operator to join our team for the 1st shift. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating hydraulic or mechanical presses to produce high-quality gaskets according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in press operation and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate hydraulic or mechanical presses to produce gaskets.
Review work orders, or specifications to determine setup procedures and machining sequences.
Load materials into the press and adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, pressure, and speed.
Monitor machine operation and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment or production processes.
Perform routine maintenance on presses to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Keep accurate records of production quantities, downtime, and any maintenance performed.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a press operator or in a similar manufacturing role preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation principles.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, and specifications.
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

Pay Details: $18.50 per hour
